    Oh my - that is really bad - may I suggest you do the same as a lot of otherpodcasters.

    You all start your own editing sofware - like Audacity or Garageband - you start with a sound you can identify on the waves like - one two three and then you tranfer the files to the one who does the editing and gather the tracks (makes it easy with the one two three :-)

    The fact that you are not in the same room will then not be obvious to the listener, but that you can explain in the podcast. Besides - the sound in each of your rooms will be different, so it will show anyway.

    If your levels are much two different, you can run the wave-fil through the free and very easy software Levelator.

    Good Luck - we´ve all been there :-)
